Sending love from LA

The emotional pendulum has been swinging frantically during these past few days. Our hearts break for our community who has experienced incomprehensible loss; our spirits lift when witnessing the swift and eager mobilization to help our neighbors in need. We are safe, sad, grateful, anxious. Though it’s been one of the toughest weeks to be an Angeleno, we’re encouraged by the humanity we see shining so brightly amongst the darkness. Our hearts are with our community as we try to navigate a new reality, one that we know will need to be bolstered by joy to sustain us.

As a studio and as individuals, we are committed to helping our community recuperate and rebuild. For us, this includes making monetary donations to people and businesses that have been affected by the fires as well as committing our time to volunteering in person in the weeks and months ahead. We will need to do this together.

In mulling over whether there was anything joyful for us to share, there was one unexpected joy… Meet Whisper:

Whisper is our senior Pitbull foster from Pasadena Humane and one of the cuddliest lovebugs we’ve ever met! Whisper came into our lives the Sunday before the fires for a “sleepover” break from the kennel and ended up evacuating with us on Tuesday. He is safe and cheery, and together we’re taking things one day at a time.
